Baptism
If you live within the parish of St Andrew, or worship in the church, or have some family connection, you may have your child baptised. To arrange a date for the baptism and some baptism preparation for parents, you should contact the vicar. revlnorth@aol.com
However, baptism is not just for babies and young children. Many adults today wish to be baptised as they find faith in Jesus Christ. In the Church of England the practice is to baptise and confirm adults at the same time, so that they may then receive Holy Communion. For those wishing to take this next step in their faith journey, preparation courses are held on a regular basis. Ask the vicar when the next will be. There is no fee for a baptism.
Becoming Confirmed
If you are baptised and wish to declare publicly your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour then you may be confirmed. As this is a big commitment the church asks that you attend a confirmation course so that you understand the basics of the Christian faith and what it means to live a Christian life. To know when the next course is available and express your interest in joining it speak to the vicar revlnorth@aol.com
